Thanks toour railcar accident , this last week we ’ve been dealing with insurance and mechanics and multitude look to cut deals .

It ’s wearying and often confusing , but it needs to be done .

You show up and everything is new and exciting . You do n’t miss home all that much . There are mountains and beaches and new plants and interesting citizenry !

And then you start to run into the other side .

It get going to hit you how differently the local anesthetic act .

You miss your native spit or even just the familiar terms for things you used back home .

You notice things take a lot longer to get done and masses do n’t really make lines decent .

People see you as an easy target because you ’re an outsider .

There are hustlers everywhere and I am praying for wisdom . There were plenty of hustlers and flimflam - men in the US , too – a stuffy relative of mine is one of them – yet in your home townsfolk you have your connection of friends and family line who can help and rede and recommend good options and trusty hoi polloi .

At this point of transportation is where many mass give up . We mislay our shirt buying this car , then deliver its locomotive blow . Now we ’re parcel out with a wreck and walk 2 + stat mi to buy groceries … then walk back . withdraw the bus keep us some time , but we still have almost a mile take the air up the mountain with food market … and our car is sitting bankrupt out front , search very sad .

I ’m not giving up , though . I have made some good friend , met true hoi polloi , shake hands with becoming businessmen .

And our neighbors have been fantastic .

One house down from us there is a James Leonard Farmer and his wife . This week he come to our front logic gate with about 15lbs of frozen beef from one of his cows .

“ This is for you , ” he said , with a smile , as I looked incredulously at the gift . “ I do n’t need this . I mostly just eat fish now . I may be a wretched man , but I believe in sharing what I have . ”

I know for a fact he sells his beef to lift money for his family … and yet here he is , share with us .

I give thanks him . I do n’t have much of anything I can give back in paying back right now , but you could bet when I get some good stuff go we ’ll be divvy up .

Another friend from up the route stopped by on Wednesday with some piece of yam plant for me to establish . He also saw that one of our shuck of bananas had fallen over the fencing where we could n’t see it , so he cut and bring it to our place .

Piece by piece , we ’re starting to fit into the neighbourhood and eventually , I hope we fit into the area .

Two years , I ’ve get wind , is what it takes to really “ make it ” in a Modern nation . If you could get there , you could stick for good .

I ’m work on cleave . And pray for a proficient outcome with our vehicle situation . I ’m levelheaded , my house is healthy , and we ’re learn new things every daytime .

“ Save , OLord , for the divine one is gone;for the faithful have vanished from among the nipper of man . Everyone utters lie down to his neighbor;with flattering sass and a twofold nitty-gritty they speak .

May theLordcut off all flattering lips , the tongue that gain great boasting , those who say , ‘ With our tongue we will prevail , our lips are with us ; who is original over us ? ’

‘ Because the poor are spoil , because the needy moan , I will now arise , ’ says theLord;‘I will place him in the safety for which he hanker . ’The words of theLordare pure words , like silver medal refined in a furnace on the terra firma , purge seven times .

You , OLord , will keep them;you will hold us from this generation forever . On every side the disgusting prowl , as vileness is exalted among the children of human beings . ”
