I Got 99 Problems But A Birch Ain’t One

the great unwashed love Paper Birch tree . Too bad that here , in Chicago , it ’s too hot ( not what you thought about Chicago , right ? passion ? ) for Paper Birches . It ’s like a pizza pie oven here in August ( which explain why there ’s pizza everywhere ) and they are native to even nerveless temperatures . So , when a Paper Birch mother too hot it makes unfit decisions and becomes stressed , just like me on Bourbon Street . Once it ’s stressed , it much booty bid thebronze birch borer . This come-on up will be the eventual downfall of the birch , as the borers drill further and further into its flesh , the birch begins to show effects like yellow leaf and twig dieback , not to mention plummeting self esteeem .

Protection ? Yeah , there ’s protection available , in the form of soil drenches and insecticide you paint on the torso . That stuff smells like hatred and it require repeated program , just saying .

And yet – I feel the motive for birch in my life . A true life - long relationship is n’t in the cards , so I ’ve absconded with some old birch poles that were in wintertime container and I ’m work on building cucumber vine treillage , tomato stakes and bean tee pees from them . All the birch without any of the stone drill !
