We just savor our 2nd hurricane since move to Alabama . First Sally , now Zeta !
I must admit , I did not expect such a spectacular welcome to the Gulf Coast . We also did n’t expect to have Zeta go almost over us , as we thought it was destine for further due west .
We did n’t have candle , crude for the lamps , additional food or anything .

But hey … we ’re from South Florida . Anything less than a Cat 3 is just worthy of a Home Depot duct tape recording and tarp discharge .
The power go out for a few time of day but is back now . A big thanks to the heavily - function guys at the electrical company .
Last nighttime I was on the front porch when the transformer arced and blew out a few blocks aside :

Hurricanezeta blows the transformer !

as luck would have it we do n’t have any legal injury to the menage or our van , though the garden convey a bit of a beating .

The fruit trees in the front yard attend fine :
In the test sleep together the seedling were battered but I consider they ’ll pull through .
The rye screening crop was blow sidewise but should be ok .

The banana I plant were put down sideways .
Multiplier onion plant leaves were smashed around and set down .
But the daikon look like nothing happened .

A large tree branch was drop on a turnip bed but caused minimal damage .
Meanwhile , Zeta looks to have made the garlic pop up :
For those of you that saw more equipment casualty , my condolences . I hope everyone is okay . What a softheaded year !
