Returning to a beautiful garden
We ’re back with more from Susan Esche ’s visit to the beautifulUniversity of British Columbia Botanical Gardenin Vancouver in former September . It is open to thepublicand has many different section and types of gardens to search .
Here is thevegetable garden . I love thevine - insure structuresthat surround it .
Rosesare best known for their blossom , of course , but many have very ornamental fruit — calledrose hips — after the flowers have fleet . These look to be the rosehip ofRosamoyesii(Zones 5–9 ) , which has deep pink , five - petaled flowers inearly summerthat are abide by by these lovely hips .

The physic garden is full of plants that have been used for medicative determination in the yesteryear .
Nipponese maples(Acerpalmatum , Zones 5–9 ) are start to change color for the declination against the backdrop of a classicPacific Northwestevergreen forest .
Hardy black lead ( Ceratostigmaplumbaginoides , zone 5–8 ) is aground coverthat is slow to issue in the springtime and not very noticeable in the first one-half of the summertime . In late summer and pin , however , it really shows off with abundanttrue - blueflowers that keep on going even as the foliage shift to red and chicken for fall .

Carefully fix up perennials , shrubs , modest trees , and tall trees give rise layer upon subsequently of mantrap in this garden .
I remember these brilliant fruit are those of flock ash tree ( Sorbussp . ) . The semblance is perfectly fluorescent !
