While crape Vinca minor are advantageously known for their beautiful flowers , the Ceylon cinnamon tree - coloredbarkon this Nipponese French pancake myrtle ( Lagerstroemiafauriei‘Fantasy ’ , zone 6–9 ) arguably is even more beautiful .
In add-on to its hopeful heyday in the springtime , this weeping ruby-red - leaf redbud ( Cerciscanadensis‘Ruby Falls ’ , Zones 5–9 ) has give chase branches cut through with beautiful parting .

Salvia‘Red Letter ’ ( Zones 7–9 ) has clouds ofredflowers all summertime long , and can be develop as anannualwhere it is n’t hardy .
Each leaf of thisJapanese maple(Acerpalmatum‘Okukuji Nishiki ’ ) is splashed with cream diversification for a beautiful effect . Like manyvariegated plant , it is a little sensitive to burning in vivid sunshine , so it is growing here in the shade of the lathe sign .
This unbelievable frond belongs to the upside - downfern(Arachniodesstandishii , Zones 4–8 ) . I ’m not sure why it is called upside - down , but its lacy fronds are beautiful .

Red maples(Acerrubrum , Zones 5–9 ) arenativeto much of the eastern one-half of North America , but this is a motley version call ‘ Snow Fire ’ . The leave of absence , plash with white , blushes pink on the newest growth .
The twining stems of summer wisteria ( Wisteriopsisreticulata , Zones 7–10 ) make maybe an even more spectacular statement than the clustering of imperial prime that will arrive in the summer .
undimmed redamaryllis(Hippeastrum‘Hercules ’ ) is intimate to most of us as abulbgrown inside , but many varieties , like this one , are brave in Zone 7 and ardent .
