Propagation
Just two weeks have passed since the first installment , but such is the way of life of seed that wad has fall out since then . Some have germinate where previously there was nothing doing , some have been moved on to pots or trays .
Last class I grew some acer osakazuki seedlings , one of which I still have hibernate in a 1L potful in the moth-eaten frame . It is just a few inches tall and bare of leaves for now . I included some more acer seeds in my fiend seed rescript , acer davidii this time . Three have bourgeon well , I have pot them up since necessitate this photograph . I prefer this variety for the interesting bark . It grow big if allow the space , so if I am to keep it I may have to develop it bonsai - stylie .

The lupine are growing on powerfully . I sting them out into 1L dope to give some depth as the roots were very long already . The true leaves are occur through and will soon take on that typical lupine form . I think I ’ll be incite these on to item-by-item pots quite soon .
The delphinium seedlings have grown to the item where I can prick them out . They look very much like some of the mystery seedlings , perhaps they are also delphinium . The reliable leave-taking will give us more of a cue once they appear properly .
genus Agastache and genus Dianthus seedlings , pricked out in a shared half - tray are growing on nicely . They are angle a little towards the light , I will turn the tray .

My foxglove odyssey is well under agency . Last fourth dimension I had goad out d. purp . albiflora and grandiflora , I have now added lutea to the tray . I gather that albiflora and lutea cross agreeably to form a decided sort , Digitalis x mertonensis , the strawberry foxglove . Perhaps I ’ll be prosperous next year .
The burkheya purpurea are bring out their spiky nature as the dead on target farewell emerge . I ’m pleased with how well they are growing on .
Just one nongregarious seedling of the genus Leucanthemum has shown itself thus far . I ’m pretty sure these are what my mother look up to as “ dog daisies ” , not entirely complementary I suspect . Perhaps I do n’t want too many of these anyway .

inseminate on 26th January , the liatris spicata have start to germinate . I gather it is screw in some parts as ‘ jocund feather ’ . Matron . They are small and few in figure so I will hold off move them on for a few daytime yet .
Geraniums are a plant for which I am fast getting a thing . I bought a crew past their in effect last autumn but also enjoyed produce some from seed last year . I have a few varieties this year and the first have come through . I ’ve pricked the sanguineum out into a 1L pot , share accommodation for now .
These primula vialli are still mini , too mini even for me to essay strike on , I will leave them be for a week or two .

The mexican fleabane are still in their 7 centimeter pot but are now almost ready for me to cock up out , I may do that one even this calendar week .
Most of the germination action has been in pots cache in the heated up terrace . The only exception to this is the geraniums which have been on unheated scaffolding in the greenhouse . No planetary house of anything in the flock stored outside , they are in the wearisome lane . They may not have caught enough of the winter to break dormancy so I may not see anything there until next yr .
That ’s it for now , I ’ll be back before long with another seedy update .
