If you ’ve never done much gardening before , you ’re not alone . Many time I interact with masses at passe-partout horticulture result and elsewhere , and match those that have n’t grow much of anything except for grass and sess . That ’s hunky-dory . But do n’t stay that means .
For a quick , prosperous and bum room to get started on your Florida surrender garden , try this in a few weeks when the conditions starts to chill off :

1. Go out and find yourself a good container.
A five - Imperial gallon pail , a large pot , an onetime wheelbarrow , an old ice chest … or just anything you bump to have lie around . Make certain it ’s at least a foot or so deep so it does n’t dry out out well .
2. Buy a bag of potting soil and a package of lettuce or spinach seeds.
These are nerveless - season craw . Other cool - season crops include Brassica oleracea italica , lolly , collards , kohlrabi , radishes , fava bean , pea and onions .
3. Drill or punch a few holes in the bottom of your container, if they’re not there already.

In a few days , your seed will start pop up . Water the bucketful daily and watch what happens . In about a month , you ’ll be pick young super C for salads . Once you start harvesting the issue of your work , you ’ll realize why God placed man in a garden to start with . It ’s healthy , beautiful and good for the person to get your own food .
Once you ’ve started , it ’s difficult to stop . But you need to pop out – now – so you ’re ready to expand and originate as the economic system continues downhill .
( By the way , container gardening is a not bad way to get tike involved in produce their own food … and trust me , it ’s a lot more worthwhile and oculus - scuttle than a throwaway plastic toy from China . )
