United States Senator Debbie Stabenow was honored at the Michigan Floral Foundation ’s Hall of Fame dinner party held Tuesday evening October 8 , at the University Club of MSU in East Lansing Michigan .
Senator Stabenow was cited for study that has benefitted every segment and storey of the agricultural and flowered community . A graduate of Michigan State University and a native Michigander , Senator Stabenow is a national leader on food and agriculture insurance policy and a emphatic advocate for Michigan agriculture – the state ’s secondly bighearted origin of jobs .
In consent the accolade , presented by Bob Patterson , CF , Michigan Floral Foundation Chair , Senator Stabenow give tongue to her appreciation of the floral industry and how particular it is that members touch people at the most significant and memorable time of their sprightliness on a daily groundwork . Tim Galea discussed the history of the Great Lakes Floral Association , point out that as a Michigan State alum , she might be concerned that the tie-up was set forth in 1920 by a group of graduate from the MSU horticulture programme . The Michigan Floral Foundation was established in 2007 to support and advance the floral industry through educational opportunity and community enrichment activities .
