Beautiful, easy-to-grow flowers
My name is Diane Porter , and I live in Nova Scotia , Canada . We are a Zone 5 country here , so I like pretty sturdy flora . Daylilies(Hemerocallis , zone 4–9 for most cultivar ) match my garden perfectly . I have always enjoyed horticulture and in reality worked at a local garden center for a few seasons . The horticulture hemipteran hit firmly !
As for mydaylilies , they were almost all a rescue charge . We had discovered that a daylily farm we frequented to bribe their plant was closing . The proprietor was kind enough to offer us a rare chance to “ cut into up and take household ” from one of his fields for liberal . We give 29 day lily a new home . I do n’t have it off the names of most of them , but I love the show they put on ; it ’s amazing .
An ideal day for me would be setting up my water-colour paints beside the lily beds and picture .

I love all the shade of pinkish mingling together in this piece of daylilies .
A color reverberation from a soft yellow daylily and a smutty - eyed Susan ( Rudbeckiahirta , Zones 3–8 )
day lily come in nearly every color exceptblue , and this intenseredis peculiarly nice .

Some daylilies are so dark they are almost black . Sometimes these superdark blossom are best planted in weak spook , especially in hot climate , as many of them will burn in intense sun .
It is n’t all day lily in this garden . Here ’s a scene of some of the relaxation of the quad , with phlox ( Phloxpaniculata , Zones 5–8 ) , liatris ( Liatrisspicata , Zones 3–9 ) , and Adam ’s phonograph needle ( Yuccafilamentosa , Zones 4–10 ) all show off with flowers .
Adam ’s needle can reach up over 6 feet magniloquent .

Modern daylily education has expanded the color ambit and complexity of color pattern . This one has a beautiful sullen eye .
single daylily blooms are beautiful , but daylilies really make an encroachment in the garden when they bloom heavily , like this , making magnanimous masses of color .
This is just a stunning day lily — beautiful rich purple color and incredible patterning .
