Spring in a vase
Amanda Benick is sharing with us today from Cincinnati ( Zone 6b ) . Amanda order that she has been having a bad springtime , with lots of up - and - down weather , going from freezing cold to passing hot , sometimes all in one twenty-four hour period !
Amanda loves makingbouquetsfrom the garden and is share those with us today .
I can not trust what cool , quirky sweetness columbine(Aquilegiaspecies and hybrids , Zones 4–8 ) make , particularly in a glass soda bottle .

Sand cherry(Prunus× cistena , Zones 2–8 ) is a PERFECTbouquet makeweight , with its dark ruby-red leaves . I ’m learning that azaleas(Rhododendronspp . ) , althoughwoody , make excellent bouquet flower . encounter here is a peach - coloredAzalea mollishybrid . I ca n’t think back the name , but it has the most vibrant ruby fleeceable leaves in cold times . Another excellent bouquet woody is lilac(Syringaspecies and hybrids ) . This is the ever notable lilac ‘ Miss Kim ’ . Having a warm shrub plot really shows in a posy . ‘ Miss Kim ’ smell amazing ! ‘ Red Barlow ’ aquilegia joins it the shrub cuttings , along with a clean bearded iris(Irishybrid , Zones 3–8 ) .
The beardedirisesare some of the best - smell out plants I ’ve meet . This yellow one smell out like sweet aura with a burst of sweet lemon !
My Iris cuts are terrible , too forgetful . I just love these iris so much that I never need to burn a whole shank ! I want to show you these colours . The sense of smell are amazing and totally a reason to grow them . This is my favorite coloring — pallid lilac with peachy - Orange River falls .

The green makeweight in this arrangement is German chamomile(Matricaria recutita , Zones 5–8 ) .
On the rightfield you could see the seedpod of money plant(Lunariaannua , Zones 5–9 ) . Money flora is a bad reseeder , I ’ve read , so I may need to keep snipping .
Quirky columbine , the bloom ofmoney plantas well as new seedpods , and the white-hot blossom of yellow - twigdogwood(Cornus sericea‘Falviramea ’ , Zones 3–8 )

The blackened / purple whiskery fleur-de-lis , which smells like sugar - crusted Berry , is link by a peach tulip(Tulipahybrid , Zones 3 – 8) and a yellow - sprig dogwood .
