Bandit , my roomy Michelle ’s Corgi , has constitute the perfect way to use his livestock inherent aptitude and also keep himself entertained . And Rio , who is very smart and often very bored , has ascertain how to train a dog .

This all began a few calendar week ago , when Michelle tell apart me that she was take difficulty keeping Bandit away from Rio . She said Bandit keeps bark at the buck , and the knight keeps pawing .

A few day by and by , I witnessed these antics first - hired hand . Michelle was gone for the day , and I lease Bandit alfresco to get some cheer . He made a beeline for Rio ’s stall and stood in front of it expectantly .

As soon as Rio saw Bandit , he walked over , put his head down , and the two looked at each other . Then Rio began paw .

The moment Rio ’s hoof hit the ground , Bandit started barking . Not an ordinary bark but high up - pitched delirious yelps that pierced my tympanum . With every strike of Rio ’s hoof , Bandit yelped .

After just a minute , it became apparent that Bandit consider he was performing some variety of important line — that is , getting after the horse for pawing . Rio , on the other hand , had figured out that if he paw the priming , he could make this unearthly dog go half-baked .

Rio try out with Bandit . First , he ’d just paw once , which educe one yelp . Then he ’d paw three or four times , which gained him three or four yelps . In between paw , Rio put his head down to seek to make touch with Bandit , which was always bootless . Bandit would move back to a safe aloofness where he was just out of orbit . Rio would then resume his pawing .

The look on Rio ’s font was priceless during the entire event . He was clearly quite amused by this demoniacally barking dog , and make love the approximation that his behavior could determine how much the dog would yelp . He had learn the joys of training another brute .

brigand , on the other hand , had also trained Rio . Although his barking seemed mean to block up Rio from paw , all it did was encourage the pawing . Bandit had trail Rio to paw in exchange for amusement .

This fatuity now goes on now on a daily basis . Whenever Bandit go outside , he starts up with Rio , who is more than uncoerced to oblige .

The consequences of all this for the humans on the farm is that Bandit descend back in the family covered with dirt from his adventure while Rio has excavated a hole in his stall deep enough to eat up a body . But that ’s all right . Michelle and I get by with it because , after all , our creature postulate to have some fun , too .
