Gardening keeps her young!
Karen post in these photos of a garden of a very exceptional mortal in her life .
confiscate are photos of my 93 - twelvemonth - sure-enough mother ’s garden . She enjoy planting and pick her flowers , as well as upkeep like plucking weeds and deadheading . She care for her perennials and George Walker Bush , interplanting annuals as need . She can be found outside watering everything each day . When her labor of lovemaking is through , she relax on her porch or back patio , often with a glass of vino .
Wow ! That is quite the garden — and a mint of work to maintain at 93 yr old . I always say thatgardening keep you young . Gardening is ceaseless stimulation for the thinker , and sure as shooting it is good for the someone . Gardeners are also always looking forward — forestall plant growing , young season arrive . As Beverley Nichols wrote , “ It is only to the gardener that time is a friend , giving each year more than he steals . ”

A piddling fairy perches on a rock , surrounded by bright prime . yearbook and perennials are mixed together to ensure vividness and interest every twenty-four hour period of the horticulture time of year .
In this view looking down one of the garden bottom , packed to the rim with prime and wrapping around a patio seating arena , repeat clumps ofvariegated lilyturf(Liriope muscari‘Variegata ’ , Zones 5–10 ) tie the whole planting together .
And finally , a mental picture of Karen and her mum . May they have many more years of enjoying garden and gardening together !
